Paws to Read: Practice Reading with Dogs

Paws to Read: Practice Reading with Dogs In-Person

Practice reading to a furry friend this summer!

In partnership with Therapeutic Paws of Canada, Paws to Read provides children with the opportunity to read to Marcus, a certified therapy dog. Marcus enjoys listening to stories, and encouraging young readers to practice reading aloud!

  • Ages 5 and up, a parent or caregiver must remain in the room during the session
  • Registration required for a 15 minute timeslot
  • Arrive in advance to select a library book (staff are happy to provide suggestions!). Please note, extra time will not be provided if a child arrives late.
  • As spaces are limited, each child may register for 2 timeslots throughout the summer
