Grieving Room, Author Leanne Friesen

Grieving Room, Author Leanne Friesen In-Person

Join non-fiction author Leanne Friesen as she speaks about her book, her experiences and the process of putting her grief on paper.

This will be a moving and informative evening with an author and speaker who knows her topic and speaks from the heart.

Leanne Friesen is an author, speaker, grief educator, ordained minister, and curator of the popular Grieving Room Instagram account.

When we lose someone we love, we are forever changed.

Friesen pushes back against a world that wants to minimize our sorrow and avoid our despair. She helps those of us walking with the grieving figure out what to say and what not to say, and she offers practical ways to create ample space for every emotion and experience.

Join us every Wednesday this fall for an inspiring evening of writing, creativity, and community. Each session features presentations from authors, publishers, editors, and library staff—offering valuable insight, encouragement, and practical tools to support you on your writing journey.

Whether you're a seasoned writer or just getting started, Writing Wednesdays are a great way to connect with local authors, meet fellow literary enthusiasts, and maybe even discover your next great read.
